Hiring a contractor is a leap of faith. Here’s exactly what to expect from the first phone call to the final walkthrough — and who you’ll be dealing with at every step. (Spoiler: it’s Bryan.)

Step 1 · You and Bryan
First conversation
Call, text, message us on Facebook or use the form. You’ll be talking to Bryan — there’s no sales team and no call center.
Tell him what you’re hoping to change, roughly when, and anything you already know about the house. A few phone photos help. If it’s not the kind of work we do, he’ll say so right then.

Step 2 · Bryan comes to you
Walkthrough and written quote
Bryan comes out, looks at the actual conditions, takes measurements and asks a lot of questions. This is where thirty years of experience earns its keep: spotting what’s worth keeping, what’s likely hiding behind the wall, and where the budget will do the most good.
You get a written quote with a clear scope — what’s included, what isn’t, and the options discussed. The visit and the quote are free.

Step 3 · Decisions made before demolition
Planning, selections and permits
Before work starts we settle the details: materials, finishes, fixtures, and the order things will happen in. Choices made now are cheaper than choices made mid-job.
If your project needs a permit — structural changes usually do — that’s sorted out before anyone swings a hammer, and the schedule accounts for it.

Step 4 · Bryan runs your job
The build
The person who quoted your project is the person running it. You have Bryan’s cell number, and you’ll know what’s happening this week and what’s next.
We protect the parts of your home we’re not working on, keep the site tidy, and respect that you’re living there.

Step 5 · Your call, every time
If something changes
Sometimes you change your mind. Sometimes the house does it for you — we open a wall and find rot or old wiring. Either way the process is the same: work pauses in that area, you see the issue, and you get options and a price.
Nothing extra happens until you’ve agreed to it.

Step 6 · Done when you say it’s done
Final walkthrough
You and Bryan go through the finished work together and make a list of anything that needs attention. Then we take care of the list.
And after that? Same number. If something isn’t right down the road, call Bryan.
